Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary Awarded Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington, Honorary Degree, Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa During 2024 Concursus Ceremony

Wednesday, May 15th was Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary’s 187th Annual Concursus. A Doctor of Humane Letters, honoris causa, was awarded to Bishop Michael Burbidge by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Bishop Keith Chylinski, Rector. In addition to receiving this honor, Bishop Burbidge gave the Concursus’ keynote address. Concursus is the Seminary’s annual graduation ceremony where academic degrees are awarded to seminarians, as well as religious and lay students, enrolled in its college and graduate college programs.
 
Bishop Chylinski conferred degrees to graduates who earned Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Master of Divinity, and Master of Arts in Theology. Letters of Completion for Pre-Theology and Certificates in Pastoral Spanish were also presented.
