September 26, 2023 – Progress at our new campus in Lower Gwynedd, PA is ongoing and really taking shape! This short video shows the timelapse of the construction to date for the last six months, beginning in April 2023 for our new Student Life Center. Video by W.S. Cumby Construction.
September 16, 2023 – The outside walls are in the process of being filled in with aluminum studs.
We are making progress on our new campus in Lower Gwynedd, PA. On Saturday, August 26, 2023, the seminarian student body and members of the priest faculty were present to pray the Miraculous Medal Novena in honor of the Immaculate Conception, which will be the name of the main chapel of the new campus. They then had the opportunity to tour the construction site and sign the last steel beam to be inserted into the structure. The seminarians have named this beam “The Marian Beam.” On Friday, September 8, this beam was hoisted up in a “topping off” ceremony by the construction crew in the presence of representatives of the seminary community. The beam will sit above the beloved “Humilitas” window from the Chapel of Saint Martin of Tours on the Overbrook campus.
September 9, 2023 – Steel beams have been placed for the College dormitory, as well as two sections of the Student Life Center.
September 8, 2023 – On the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the seminary held a “topping off” ceremony at our new Lower Gwynedd campus. Father Keith Chylinski, Rector, led the ceremony and was joined by members of the seminary community, plus key representatives from Aegis Property Group, W.S. Cumby Construction, Voith & Mactavish Architects, and O’Donnell & Naccarato Structural Engineers. The beam selected for the ceremony was placed above the Humilitas window at the new campus. The window is being refurbished after having been removed from the Chapel of Saint Martin of Tours on the seminary’s Overbrook campus. Seminarians have affectionately nicknamed the beam that was hoisted the “Marian Beam.” It has been signed by seminarians and priests of the seminary and bears an inscription from the Miraculous Medal.
September 2, 2023 – The north stairwell tower has been completed and the foundation has been poured for the concrete floor of the college dormitory and steel beams have been adjusted for the stained-glass windows being placed in the Student Life Center.
