Deacon Lewis joined the faculty in 2010 with broad interests in homiletics, fundamental theology and moral theology. He draws heavily on practical life experience to enhance the learning experience. Deacon Lewis sees each subject area as interrelated and interdependent. In addition to his love of learning and teaching, Deacon Lewis and his wife Anne are the proud parents of four children and have four grandchildren.

In his professional life, Deacon Lewis is a seasoned and versatile business executive who had over 40 years of experience in business strategy and operations, marketing, communications, public relations, media relations, within higher education, healthcare, health insurance, business, and government.
Deacon Lewis is the former Executive Vice President, Chief Consumer Engagement and Marketing Officer at Jefferson: Thomas Jefferson University | Jefferson Health | Jefferson Health Plans, where he reported directly to the CEO. He led a cross-functional team that drove growth, brand awareness, organizational reputation, and consumer engagement for a $10 billion organization with over 42,000 employees.
Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous business ventures and has served as a consultant to Catholic Answers, Catholic Leadership Institute, Catholic Relief Services, EWTN, National Catholic Community Foundation and Theology of the Body Institute. He began his professional career as congressional aide and speechwriter, working on Capitol Hill for three U.S. Congressmen.
